Need to see a visual of Isaiah 13:2
“Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles”
Check list:
“Lift ye up a banner” banners raised,
“upon the high mountain” good location,
“exalt the voice unto them” amplification,
“shake the hand” alright done,
"that they may go into the gates of the nobles” motive is to save them from hellfire,
Isaiah 13:2 fulfilled
Last weekend we came to the Windy city.  We came to the third largest city in America for one reason, to contend for the faith in public as per Jude 1:3
“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints”
Friday, I checked my gear and made sure the poles worked with the banners, megaphone is charged, free speech lawyers on standby, Bibles and tracts loaded and with saints praying, we were ready to put the boots on the ground. It rained .
It rained off and on that day in Chicago as we preached to those walking the city reminding everyone IF they believe in Jesus to live like it.
“He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him”
1 John 2:4
And for those who did not believe in God, they were reminded of the need to believe in Jesus THE Christ
It does not need to be an event to get a crowd or the police to get calls and it does not matter how big or small a city is where we are preaching, there will always be an encounter with law enforcement.
It was at this location where we were told that the Supreme Court made same sex marriage law of the land. That FRYday will no doubt go down as a blemish on our nation.
“Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof”
Matthew 21:43
After the sidewalk meeting with the police, we continued to proclaim the need to believe in Jesus and know the God of the Bible.
Not every event is a Mardi Gras and not every time we preach we address certain sins, but the need for repentance is paramount in our message.
There are times that just preaching what that bloody cross represents is proclaimed and reminded.
“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God”
1 Corinthians 1:18
Later that day we preached an artery where many walked by to catch a train or tram to leave the city after work and so in the rain we preached.
Afterwards we went to a concert where ‘lady gaga and Tony Bennett’ sang together on stage.
Odd couple, ya think?
Most of the people attending were seasoned citizens and this concert helps make them accept their ‘gay’ grandchildren and or family members as normal.
This concert was at a high dollar end of town and these people were reminded that they will be judged by a holy standard when they die.
"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"
Isaiah 5:20
We preached in gangland where drugs and drive-bys are as common as people walking their dogs.
We reminded those ears that ‘black lives matter’ and they should not murder and abort their children.
That day was someone’s ‘last day’ and they were exhorted that there might be a bullet out there with their name on it and they will soon be meeting God.
Of course the issue of race was questioned and black slavery. We reminded them that they are still in bondage to sin and that God will not give them favor for the color of their skin.
In that neighborhood many are shy when they see cameras, thinking we are police. It is a sad commentary on the Church when someone sees authority, they think police.
One would think with all the Churches on the South side of Chicago that would be a place of revival not high crime. We had to remind them over and over we were not there for their money.
It appears the local Church is not shinning their light and have lost their salt. They have names like ‘Holiness Temple’ ‘First Baptist’ ‘True Gospel’ ‘Tabernacle of joy’ ‘Church of deliverance’ and of course most of those ministers are ‘apostles.’
"This is what Jesus said to a Church in Asia; "To the angel of the church in Sardis write: He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars, says this: 'I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead”
Revelation 3:1
Later that day we preached the ‘lady gaga and Tony Bennett’ concert and a few people from the neighborhood came out and protested us with cardboard signs.
This particular venue was only with banners as we could not get near the main gate but it appeared someone in there was taken to the hospital.
They were warned ‘prepare to meet thy God’ and for that person it was literal. After the concert, we were questioned and questioned, as this group of atheists had issues with God. Those questions and issues were answered
Was game day and the reason we came to Chicago.
“I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest”
Psalm 40:9
We arrived early and I had a sidewalk meeting with the officer in charge as this was his first year of working with us, as CPD does make a presents around us.
Brother David Israel (below) helped get the wooden barricades set up to preserve our location and anyone trying to get inside will be considered a threat and be arrested.
This vehicle was parked across from us and it filmed us, the crowd and buildings. Who knows what their ‘Intel’ picked up before we arrived but whatever it was they would be ready.
With police around as and on every corner it appears it was safe…..right or so you thought.
Once the preaching started, light and darkness collided
The police made 4 arrests, two in front of me.
One for spitting on me another was arrested for exposing themselves to me. One brother was slapped and that person was hauled away and one angry sinner got extremely upset at the police for protecting us that he threaten the officers and he was arrested. It does not take long for law enforcement to figure out just who the bad guys are.
That event had a number of preachers to reprove, rebuke, warn and reason with sinners.
Banners were raised so not only did they hear but they saw what God says about the sin of sodomy.
“Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah”
Psalm 60:4
“Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not”
Jeremiah 5:21
Of course, there are street preacher groupies who bring their own signs.
“Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs”
Psalm 74:4
And everyone wants a picture with the preacher.
Then we have this group who claims to be believers and are ‘sorry’ for our presence, our preaching and our signs. They will tell the homosexual that they are normal the way God created them to be.
Have no shame and have not guilt because everyone is a creature of God…..and…they give away hugs.
“He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD”
Proverbs 17:15
Now just because we had barricades around us does not mean we did not get personal.
Questions were asked and answered given. Bible was read and debated.
What was amazing was the fact as boots on the ground, I must say the sodomites did not do much dancing regarding the Supreme court ruling.
We were expecting much more celebrating and hailing the verdict, but there was none.
In my opinion they looked like ‘what do we do now?’
Unlike when the high court of California reversed the voters, sodomites had a public orgasm. However last week not one person said anything to me about the high court decision in the third largest city in our country, during a ‘gay pride parade.’
Me thinketh they only know what to do when they are the victims and they cannot play that card much longer.
We were not alone, I spoke with other men who preached in other pride parades this weekend and they saw the same.
The only ones who gloated the outcome appears to be the media.
What the conversation was on the sidewalk around us was God, Jesus, Bible, sin, salvation and disease.
“Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things”
Proverbs 8:6
“The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it”
Psalm 68:11
“And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them”
Jeremiah 24:9
“To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it”
Jeremiah 6:10
The photo below was taken as we were working on our exodus because after the parade is over and we come out from the barricades things can get physical quickly, so they allowed our vehicles to pick us up on a closed side street.
At the end of the day, the sinners were warned, the meek were witnessed to and the worker of iniquity was rebuked publicly by a variety of preachers.
Now we do pray that someone will be used to reap this harvest, as God gives the growth.
The Montana ‘street preacher’ convention is coming very soon, I trust you have pre-paid your reservation to guarantee your meals and room.
