Jesus can edit your sins

My 35th year the Lord had me preaching at the Academy Awards.
Thank You all for your prayers as we stood outside in the rain and witnessed to the hundreds of limos that were stopped in traffic.
Because of Islam, the security is very tight and before these black limos can come near the Red Carpet, they must all past security and this is where we stood.
Many took pictures of our banners, one ‘star’ said he was Jewish and a number just flipped us off. I reminded them that Robin Williams would not be attaining the award show because he is in hellfire.
He was a known drug addict, alcoholic, life of rehab and sodomite lover who made everyone laugh lived a life of depression and ended his life with suicide.
That is murder to self and there is a reason his life was turmoil
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee”
Isaiah 26:3
The little gods in the black limos did not like that message against their fallen god. Their lifestyle is not glamorous and God is not concerned with their awards, their bank account, the zip code they live and fame.
“And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?”
1 Peter 4:18
Blast from the past:
Here are a two old pictures taken from around 1984 as we stood across from the Red Carpet and of course that was before 911 where much security is taken at these big events.
Don’t forget to THANK a Muslim.
Walking the death march in New Orleans as per Psalm 23; “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me”
After the few hour walk, we had one man arrested, one banner destroyed and two megaphones damaged, other than that, it was a good day because God’s Word was proclaimed.
“An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked”
Proverbs 29:27
This Wednesday we have a date in court regarding our case from Dearborn from the Muslim event that has been canceled for over two years.
We will appearing in court as the Sixth Circuit granted us ‘full court’ review of our Dearborn Case. It is rare but with God all things are possible as the full court of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit agreed to rehear the case of Bible Believers v. Wayne County. Which was brought by the American Freedom Law Center (AFLC) on behalf of several street preachers who were violently attacked by a hostile Muslim mob while preaching at an Arab festival in Dearborn, Michigan.
Video of the assault went viral on YouTube.
On August 27, a divided, three-judge panel of the Sixth Circuit dismissed the civil rights lawsuit, finding that the violent response of the Muslim hecklers justified the Wayne County sheriffs’ order to the Christians that they would be arrested for disorderly conduct if they did not leave the festival area. But now all judges from the 6th Circuit wish to hear our case. AFLC filed a petition for rehearing en banc, requesting full court review, this is one step ahead of the US Supreme Court. On October 23, the court granted the petition.
The panel decision is now vacated, and the case will be reheard by the entire court (15 active circuit court judges). Oral argument is scheduled for March 4, 2015, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Like you, I get 100’’s of emails daily but this one email is worth sharing, as some readers may have considered this also.
“Brother Ruben I have watched a number of your videos and read your weekly blog posts, I do believe the Lord has inspired you and no doubt you have stimulated others to open air preaching. I have been to Mardi Gras in the past two years and have seen you there but never introduced myself. I work with another street ministry which promotes tracts and one on one witnessing. We hold signs and a cross but nothing like your banners. A number of people I work with have warned us of you. We have been told your message is more judgment and hell than God’s love. My question to you is why is there police around much of what you do? I read that someone with your team was arrested this year. We were on the same streets and none from our end were arrested. I have defended your ministry many times but I would like to know why you need a ‘bail fund’ and I read that lawyers and a doctor are on standby when you preach. Are you not anticipating getting arrested or getting injured?”
My response:
Thank You ***** for your question and I do hope I can clarify a few points. We do attract police on many of the streets we preach because many people will phone 911 and complain or make something up.
This is why we video everything as that film is not bias nor will it lie and should match the complaints made.
Many outdoor ministries say they turn the world upside-down and their ministry is a threat to the devil but I believe in reality, they are not even a beep on the radar.
We find stories in the book of Acts where riots occurred after those men preached and jail ensued after they preached in cities and beating transpired as a result of their preaching.
We find wording such as the entire city was filled with confusion’ and they ‘made no small stir’ when they proclaimed Jesus in public.
Wonder what today’s ministries would say about them?
They are doing it wrong, maybe they should try giving out free water, hot chocolate, hugs, do puppet shows, or sing them into the kingdom and let them see your joy.
Foxe's book of Martyrs and Martyrs Mirror is filled with stories of saints who were persecuted, jailed, beaten and killed for their faith and those saints never tried to be their friend or find medium ground. Wonder what today’s ministries would say about them?
I do wonder what most ministries would have counseled John Bunyan for not taking a permit for preaching in public.
His book ‘The Pilgrim's Progress’ was written in prison cell and is the best seller next to the Bible, however most ministries today would have advocated that he only comply and stop making Christianity look bad. Or his arrest was only doing for his flesh and not for the gospels sake.
Oh, how they polish his tomb and promote his books, yet if they lived in that theater with him, they would have recommended he just submit to the government as per Romans 13.
Fruit of Biblical preaching is getting rejected, persecuted, jailed, beat and killed for preaching something many do not want to hear.
Not how many tracts you passed out or how many people you prayed with and hugged.
When we preach we should not find medium ground with everyone.
Not friending them first
Not inviting sinners to Church
Not giving free water
Not giving smiles and hugs
Not publicly weeping and pleading with sinners
Not apologizing for God being holy
Not lay our hands on everyone
Not ask them to repeat a prayer and tell them they are saved, sealed and never get unsaved
Not saying ‘Jesus wants you just as you are’
Repentance means God does not want anyone as is and who wishes to preach REPENT these days?
REPENT from what?
Preach against sin and one will get a reaction as per John 7:7
“The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil”
If you belong to a ministry or Church that endorses God is all forgiving and all loving, I would break fellowship yesterday.
Our purpose is not to make friends with unbelievers, because that will hinder us from telling them the truth. Not one verse is found in the book of Acts where they preach or said ‘Jesus loves you’ or God loves you.’
Yet that is so common today and we are charged with having a unbiblical message.
“If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you”
John 15:19
As you have said, you have seen us out in the French Quarter for 2 years and our message “is more judgment and hell than God’s love.”
I admit so, with reason. Most out there are drunken with ‘God loves you’ and we are needed to balance out the lopsided message most will hear on every corner of Bourbon Street.
Funny how people can see my imbalance message but not their imbalance message.
Our message is tailored to the event, remember this was Mardi Gras. We would not fly those banners if we were door knocking or preaching at a public park on Saturday afternoon. Those banners are made-to-order to the sin in the streets.
Yes, we do have lawyers and a medical doctor on standby for us, we also have a first aid kit and a bail fund just to be prepared. That’s only being equipped and organized. Faulting us of wishing to get arrested is liken to accusing a police officer to want to shoot someone because he has training to fire that weapon and wears a bulletproof vest. Most officers do not wish to pull that trigger but they are qualified.
Having lawyers and a physician willing to work with us is the Body-of-Christ in action, nothing more than that. You do know that we have people praying for us, local Churches giving us a place to stay and feed us, does that mean anything too?
Regarding the arrest on Fat Tuesday, it was preaching related and perhaps no other Christian was arrested, is because they were not a threat to those streets.
I believe it is a shame when a street preachers gets arrested and his motive is questioned. We are told this will happen in all four gospels, so this should come as no surprise to anyone proclaiming Jesus in public.
I wonder how many would have questioned Stephen’s motive for not preaching the love of God or not enough gospel. Perhaps many today would have accused Stephen of wanting to be a Martyr.
Thank you for defending ‘my ministry’ but preaching in public is NOT my ministry, calling or gift, it is my duty as a believer and not everyone will do it my way.
Not everyone is an ‘evangelist’ as Paul wrote to Timothy to do the work of an evangelist, he did not need to be one.
I have met 1000’s of people claiming to be an evangelist and I believe they are given that title because they might pass out a few more tracts than others. I question those who use the word ‘evangelist’ personally.
Hope this clears up a few points and maybe one day you will sit in a cell for your faith, only to come out and find your name slandered by those who claim to believe that same black book.
Now IF you have yet tasted persecution, maybe they is a reason.
“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution”
2 Timothy 3:12
