Mardi Gras Naw Orleans 2014
The link below is a clip from us confronting sin in the streets and exhorting everyone of meeting a Holy God one day as found in Hebrews 9:27.

We worked with several local Churches for this mission, as we preached in front of New Orleans only abortion clinic, walked the French Quarter, Jackson Square, Canal Street and Bourbon Street. And because this sinful event has religious attributes, we also preached in front of a Church on Sunday and ‘Ash Wednesday, where we publicly rebuked them for taking God’s Name in vain.
The Lord used us to preach a straight forward message to the unbelievers and admonished those to be believers to bare fruit or be cut down into the fire as per Matthew 7:19.
“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity”
I have been using banners since 1980 and with crowds like this, these large signs can not be missed and are a great tool.
“Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not”
Shinning LIGHT on a dark street
“Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah” Psalm 60:4
No hiding from that LIGHT as those banners can clearly be seen from inside the bars to those with eyes to see.
“…enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast”
LAW and GRACE:
Daily we were confronted with police but at the end of the day we had much liberty walking the streets with our mega-horns and banners. Most knew who we were and knew we recently won a court case against the city for ‘free speech.’ God Bless those State Troopers who were kept very busy around us on Bourbon Street, removing bodies from our banners and they even made several arrests. On Fat Tuesday, they made one sinner apologize to me for tossing his drink on me.
“Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you”
The officer below was checking our noise level to get a reading on how loud our Truth-Horns were but that was not the problem. I was told later the real problem were all the complaints to the police department about us and our preaching, not the volume.
We marched around the French Quarter in the day and at night, in the sun and wind and rain. Giving reason why mankind needs to repent and why a loving God is angered daily as per Psalm 7:11
"Onward, Christian soldiers! Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus Going on before.
Christ, the royal Master,
Leads against the foe;
Forward into battle,
See his banners go!"
Sinners RUSHED us but we were not moved,
nor did we flinch.
“Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads. As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks,
though they be a rebellious house”
The crowd was a bit violent this year, as sinners pulled out knives four times and slit two of our banners, one brother was punched so hard, he was knocked to the ground. we were attacked often and everywhere. Not just us but other groups were getting attacked as well.
To be filed under
‘You will be hated for my Names sake’
Brother Pat was hit in the head from a beer bottle on ‘Fat Tuesday’ night for carrying a large white cross, He had a mild concussion and the bottle will leave a mark. After he was cleaned up from the bleeding and bandaged, he went back outside to minister. To see his interview on the link below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57q2rp_kZto&feature=em-uploademail
Need a visual of Proverbs 17:11
“An evil man seeketh only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him”
Everywhere we stood we lifted our banners and were surrounded by sinners with questions, as the Lord used us to give blunt answers.
“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me”
Everyone on Bourbon Street knows God and are saved and beLIEves they are going to heaven…..or so they say.
“They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate”
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven”
There were many Christians out there who had much in common with sinners, saying ‘God wants you just as you are’ and ‘I’m just like you.’
If that is the case, WHY do we find the word ‘repent’ in the Old Testament, with John the Baptist, with Jesus and found in the book of Acts. God does NOT want them as they are, He demands they repent from what they are. We had a number of sinners dump their booze, remove their beads and a few prayed, as God demands ‘fruit meet for repentance.’
There is a reason many believers do not wish to preach hard or judge sinners. The ‘beam’ is still in their eye and they are unworthy to remove the ‘mote’ from any.
“He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD”
“Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?”
Need a visual on Isaiah 13:2
“Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand”
Let’s see, banners were raised in a visible place….with a loud booming voice….and shaking your hand at them.
Thus, Isaiah 13:2 fulfilled boldly.
On Sunday we went to Church….street preacher style…we stood outside two services of the oldest Catholic Cathedral in North America, Saint Louis Cathedral was founded as a Catholic Parish in 1720.
And in the spirit of a true protestant, we protested against the Church. Mardi Gras is endorsed by the Church and for a week of sin, they get ashes for their forehead, rather than repentance and the blood of Jesus. We made such a stir the monsignor confronted us and was rebuked for such, The following service the archbishop and his entourage was publicly reproved.
“Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD”
Lent, purgatory, pope, prayer to dead saints, baptizing babies, sacraments, ashes on the face, rosary beads are nothing but tradition of men that void out the word of God.
“The prophets prophecy falsely, and the priest bear rule by their means; and my people
love to have it so”

Amos 5:10 reads:
“They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly”
We tasted of that verse as we rebuked by the gates of the standard of a just holy God.
“They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them”
Jude writes “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints”
Where oh where were those willing to argue Bible and publicly defend God’s standard eye to eye, rather than strengthen the hands of the evildoers.
“I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.”
FAT TUESDAY (wet Tuesday)
This also takes a special sinner to stand out in the rain to sin. THAT is indeed a worker of iniquity as per Psalm 5:5 and it takes a special saint willing to also stand in the cold wet rain for hours.
“That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust”
It rained all day and night and that did not stop our preaching as God is longsuffering, because those drops of rain should have been fire and brimstone on this city that calls evil good. We kept our megaphones covered in plastic for protection in keeping God’s words loud and clear.
We did not come to New Orleans to give out water, invite people to Church. We did not come to the ‘big easy’ to pray or have a worship service, that we can do at home. We came to Mardi Gras to reprove the sinner as per Ephesians 5:11;
“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them”
"A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise"
“Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus”
This was Brother Mikhail’s first Mardi Gras and he did a great job standing in the gap. Something tells me he will return, as he wrote:
“I DON'T ALWAYS GO TO MARDI GRAS BUT WHEN I DO ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE: urine thrown in my face, drinks, beads, food, knives pulled on us multiple times, banners cut by some gutter punks, death threats, glass bottle broke on brother Pat's head pushed to the ground by some gangster, people spitting in your face, got wet in the rain, and many other exiting things. But also many good things: thousand's of sinners heard that they are all going to HELL and that only JESUS can save them. Got to pray for someone, spoke to people from all over US and the world. I could probably write 7 books about my trip to Mardi Gras. One of the best experiences of my life.”
A BIG THANK YOU
To all the men who gave up their lives for a week of preaching and traveled on their own dime. For the Churches that supported us in giving us rest, food and a place to lay our heads. For lawyers who were on stand by and many of you who prayed for us. On behalf of us open air preachers, we THANK YOU for your prayers as we were the boots on the ground and this report has your fingerprints on it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAr1NUGne0k
