“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine”
Hey open air preacher think you have a hard time having people receive your preaching?
You are not alone. Here are a few notes from John Wesley's Diary:
Sunday a.m. May 5 --- preached in St. Ann's, was asked not to come back anymore.
Sunday p.m. May 5 --- preached at St. John's, deacons said, "Get out and stay out."
Sunday a.m., May 12--- preached at St. Jude's, can't go back there either.
Sunday p.m. May 12--- preached at St. George's, kicked out again.
Sunday a.m. May 19---preached at St. somebody else's, deacons called special meeting and said I couldn't return.
Sunday p.m. May 19--- preached on the street, kicked off the street.
Sunday a.m. May 26--- preached in meadow, chased out of meadow as a bull was turned loose during the services.
Sunday a.m. June 2--- preached out at the edge of town, kicked off the highway.
Sunday p.m. June 2--- afternoon service, preached in a pasture, 10,000 people came to hear me.
And just how many people
rejected Noah’s words?
But after the Judgment of God started, this is what he saw (picture above). Compassion time is over, welcome to the world of reaping
what you have sown.
We stood outside Staples Center where the Lakers played Boston and of course the game was a sell out. So we preached to that large crowd with bodies everywhere and I must say the Laker fans were not as boastful of their team, as in past years. This year they have a loosing team and the fans were a bit humble towards the Word of God.
I warned those Boston fans that they could meet God tonight with a bullet by walking the streets of Los Angeles with those green jerseys on.
We stood with our banners and exhorted the crowd to glory in Jesus and not the athlete as per Jeremiah 9:23-24.
“Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD”
“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God” Psalm 53:1
We stood outside a well know talk radio show venue, where Bill Handel from KFI radio was going to be even cruder than what he is on his live radio show. So we stood outside and preached to the many people who came to hear him and he heard we were outside, which provoked him to come out and see.
The picture below is Bill Handel posing with us and what you don’t see were all the cameras in front of us taking these pictures. He was getting scolded for hating God, but just laughed.
His radio show has the largest listening audience in the greater Los Angeles and this venue in Orange county was his 20 year anniversary for being on KFI radio. He was publicly rebuked for not believing in his Messiah, being pro-homo and pro-abortion.
The next picture was Handel’s daughter as she could not believe what we were saying about her father.
We made such of an impact he posted our pictures on his KFI site
Many of those who came to hear him were elderly and is it any wonder their grandchildren walk in gay pride parades, have abortions and are anti-God, with grandparents like this? They came in walkers, canes, wheel chairs and one was blind, all wanting to hear someone mock God and make light of sin.
“Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily”
LATER THAT EVENING:
We were back at Staples Center for the Miley Cyrus (slut fest) concert. Young girls as young as 7 years old dressed up like whores going to the concert with their one parent who is now their best friend.
It is Biblical to identify someone by dress to be a ‘whore’ as Proverbs 7:10 which reads “a woman with the attire of an harlot.” One of the wisest men that ever lived said a woman can appear or have the look of a whore or as Jeremiah 3:3 speaks of having a ‘whores forehead.’
There is nothing wrong with calling out a women for what she is wearing, in fact she will dress that way to draw attention to herself, so that night we give it to her.
And many going to the concert claimed to be a Christian and go to Church, therefore they were exhorted from 1Timothy 2:9 and introduced to the word ‘modesty.’
I was also told that Miley Cyrus is a southern Baptist and loves God. Yeah right, she’s a believer like I am a female atheist.
There were a number of Christians out there, with signs, passing out tracts and witnessing, so at the end of the night these concert goers heard the Word of God from many different techniques.
“It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools”
Cyrus was also in concert on Thursday night in Orange county and Brother Mark was interviewed and we were told that interview, his banner and his message was on ‘Entertainment Tonight’ that evening.
This is Los Angeles where the cheap tickets were about one hundred dollars and prices were as high as two-thousand six hundred sixty dollars for the meet and greet seats. Remember we are in a recession.
On Tuesday I will heading out to preach at the Dalai Lama or known to his followers as ‘his holiness’ as this blind leader will be speaking on ‘Non-Violence and the Effects of Compassion in the 21st Century’ yet he is at war with God.
We now set our face towards Naw Orleans
As a number of us will be preaching at Mardi Gras for a week. We will be in that city by Wednesday night to work with about three local Churches and I will yoke up with many street preachers nationwide as we will preach against that public sin. Bringing LIGHT into the dark Bourbon Street.
We not only bring the kingdom of God at hand…
….but we boldly bring that kingdom right in your face.
Pray for us and or support our labor
