Saints vs Sinners

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord” Romans 6:11
Why do Christians wish to have much in common with sinners saying; “I’m just like you” or “We are all sinners” and the famous “I am no different than you”
We are no different?
Someone saved, sealed and filled with the Holy Ghost is no different than a sinner living in sin and going to hellfire? These people that live for their flesh and have demons are not different than me?
Do we even have the same Father?
Call me pompous but being saved and having the Spirit of God in you does make you better than a sinner heading for the Lake of Fire, any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
Are they really being truthful or are these people just playing with words? When believers say things like that, they consider themselves humble and broken all while calling people like me prideful and arrogant. Let me clarify I am not prideful nor arrogant, just confident as to who I am “In Christ.”
The ‘Epistles’ were written to living humans as ‘saints’ those inspired writers never called them ‘sinners’ but were called righteous, saints, redeemed, new creation, peculiar, sheep not goats, a holy people and such. Is that anything like “we are just like you?”
How can someone SAVED be like someone UNsaved?
An interesting fact, the term "In Him" is used some 180 times in the NT and Paul uses the term 143 times in his letters. Our identification with Christ is a supreme doctrine for the believer. Paul does refer to himself as the worst sinner in writing to Timothy but the context is obvious, this is his old life before salvation. Not that he was still a wicked sinner.
I have heard testimonies where people have said “Paul said he was the chief sinner, but I was not yet born” as if he is a greater sinner than Paul and remember this is said under the umbrella of being humble.
Must I remind you that after Paul wrote those words; “of whom I am chief” regarding sinners the following verses he writes that he now lives “immortal, invisible” with the “only wise God” does that sound like he still lives as a person who is killing Christians?
And for good measure he ends the chapter by writing; “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme”
Sounds like he did not want Timothy to be like Hymenaeus and Alexander. Paul makes it a point that those men were not the same as those two men belonged to satan and this was done by a prayer request from Paul. Another unloving act, imagine if that prayer was found on facebook or youtube? Something tells me Paul and Timothy wanted to be different and those men were ‘blasphemers.’ I don’t see any merging or commonality with sinners there, then again it could just be a bad translation.
Here is a small portion of verses from the Epistles that exhorts us to live holy in Christ: “How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?....that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed…..the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness……Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead…..Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin”
Sounds to me that we should not be like sinners or maybe I missed that Sunday school class?
Even when the Apostles preached in the book of Acts, we do not find them calling everyone ‘Brothers’ so they can get along and be accepted, they shouted “Men and brethren…” THAT is a distinction, not I am just like you.
Jesus clarified what a “brother, sister and mother” is and something tells me that these same people would have judged Jesus as unloving and a legalist.
Proverbs reads "as a man thinks in his heart so will he be" and if a person still sees themselves as a sinner, I will not question that as they know themselves better than I do and maybe they are still living in sin. As opposed to someone living “in Christ.”
If you need a visual of what “In Christ” looks like see the photo below… that person the same or different?
“Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not”
Sunday was ‘fathers Day’ and thanks to Dearborn canceling their yearly Arab fest, I can celebrate ‘father’s day’ like normal people, at home. We were planning to be in Dearborn that weekend but as you remember that city was not hospitable towards us last year and because of ‘Religious tension’ the city thought it best to withdraw.
This is the first ‘father’s day’ I will be home in years, as for years I have been doing homosexual parades in some God forsaken city and for the past two years on this weekend we have been in Dearborn and Columbus Ohio but Sunday I was at home…well sorta….
Sunday was the ‘Daytime Emmy Awards’ in Beverly Hills and this event will bring every day time game show, talk show and soap opera to be awarded and the security is not very tight at this award show. I guess Hollywood is more concerned about Tom Cruise, Johnny Deep and Bruce Willis than any Soap Opera cast.
We arrived in front of the Red Carpet area at the Beverly Hilton and once the banners were raised, we had security trying to remove us. I told them we were not moving unless BHPD came and said so.
One sodomite stopped his car and ordered us to move, when I said “No” he manifested and said he was calling the police, then he said
“I too have a gun.”
Was that a threat?
Now here is a guy that called us ‘haters’ then warned us of his gun. He parked there on the phone and when a patrol car finally pulled up he drove off.
So we kept our banners flying after about 20 minutes, to which he walked over and talked with me, then with the Hilton security. We were on private property and the officer was very reasonable, so we were asked to move. We were told we could continue doing what we were doing just on the corner which was about 30 yards away.
So Mark and I stood at one corner and Doug and Dale went to the main corner as we stood with our banners raised high. There were a number of limos driving in but at this event, many of the celebrities drove their own cars. And by the looks of like, these camels will not be going into the eye of the needle no matter how we push and pull them.
“Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God”
A number of people gave the ‘thumbs up’ and a number gave us ‘the finger’ and of course a few cars just had to yell something about how hateful we were. Mark had a banner with the laundry list of sin and mine read “You must be Born Again.”
At an event like this, it is the banners that will testify as we can only get so close but it was covered and by 5PM everyone who is anyone from the daytime TV world was inside the Beverly Hilton to receive their golden calf.
I do enjoy these types of preaches, as not every event needs to be a Mardi Gras and not every encounter with law enforcement is the Roman Centurion taking you to Goliath.
