This past weekend we preached to the religion of peace
SATURDAY the Muslims had a convention in Long Beach and did not invite us, at least on the inside but we were there on the outside.  Mark, Petar, Dale and I stood outside the Long Beach convention and rebuked them for NOT believing in Jesus as the Son of God as per John 3:16.
“That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him”
John 5:23
Once we set up our banners, the convention security was called as we preached right in front of the main doors.  There was a lot of suits talking as the Long Beach police were called and more papers were being read and cell phones calls were made.
Conclusion:  We were within our rights to stand right there and preach.  The police watched nearby and the Muslims appointed other Muslims to keep their followers from engaging us or attaching us.
We pointed this out to the convention goes who were in favor of “Muslim Brotherhood’ that we are thankful we live in America as we would not have lasted f minutes in a Muslim country.  At least with our head connected to our shoulders.

We exposed their teaching from the 72 virgins, to their prophet who married a 7 year old, to Mohammad not even knowing if he were saved for paradise.  And we repeated over and over the reject that Jesus is beyond a prophet, He is the Son of God.
I asked if within the convention they would have a seminar on ‘How to land a airplane’ or ‘How to strap a bomb on their chest properly.’  We asked those families with small girls if they were the ripe age for their prophet to marry and would they allow it.  What about numerous wives, as if it was good enough for the prophet, why not them?
We warned those common folks just walking around the convention center, that a Muslim convention was going on and for their on safety, they should walk a few blocks away from the convention center today, as this religion has a history of blowing thing up for Allah and they just might wish to make a statement today.
A few Muslims mostly women responded, but were told to keep moving, so they just flipped us off and were rushed into the building, then stood inside with others looking at us from the glass walls.  Many pictures were taken of our banners as we were considered hatful and not respecting other religions.  And just forget that just last week that religion was bombing
Israel for Allah.

We talked with a few and they had no problem with the “Muslim Brotherhood’ and gave the generic response that it is just a small group of radicals who kill people and they are not true Muslims, they argued that most Muslims are peaceful.  And they reject the fact that they have a bloody history.
I did have one Muslim say that their prophet did marry a 7 year old girl and it was done not for sex but as a duty to watch and care for her.  He believed that Mohammad had intercourse with her at age 19.   We preached to them in the morning and past lunch time as Long Beach police looked on.

SUNDAY morning Mark, Petar and I returned to Long Beach to once again confront the Muslims and clarify that they do not know the Jesus of the Bible.  I warned them that Mormons know a form of Jesus, but Jesus and satan are not brothers.  J.W.ers know a form of Jesus, but the Jesus of the Bible is not a created angel.  Catholics believe in a Jesus with Mary as the co-redeemer, atheists even believed there was a man name Jesus from Nazareth, but reject who he said He was and Muslims have a form of Jesus however deny He is the Son of God.
“Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also”
1John 2:23
We were confronted by the Long Beach police right after we parked the car and just walked out from the parking lot, they just wanted to know if we were going to stand in the same place again.  Once we walked to the convention center, up the stairs ad set up our banners we were confronted by Muslims that had questions.
They defended that they are a peaceful religion even after one of their own security wanted to punch me and another started cussing at me. They both were pulled away and dragged into the convention center.  I spend time with a Muslim from Africa, while Petar argued with the Muslim that put the convention together. Mark answered questions with two young men as at the end of the day, they believe the Bible is NOT the word of God and Jesus is NOT the Son of God.
The Muslim men did not like us preaching to their children as if that religion really cares for their children, right?

Just before we left the convention center, I was told that there was much confusion going on inside the doors as many wanted to stop us and others wanted to stop them stopping us.  Petar enjoyed the fact that in America we can still speak out against sin and certain religions, unlike most of the world.  After an early dinner, he went to the airport and back to Norway and Mark and I set out
for phase two.
”He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth
him that sent me”
Luke 10:16
LATER that evening Mark, Dale and I preached at the Hollywood Christmas parade, as this was the 81st year celebrities can get personal with people on the sidewalk.

The 3.2 mile parade is filled with people as they had a number of Christians walking around with signs, crosses and passing out tracts.
So Mark, Dale and I stood at the end of the parade where we can get personal with these celebrities and each one that drove by responded to us as they sat in the back of their convertible.
Most of the city brass drove by us and responded to our banners and preaching.  I did not know many of these celebrities as most of them were TV soap opera crews and because it was Hollywood the Church of Scientology made a large showing..
And of course santan claus was the biggest hit with the ‘star gazers’ on the sidewalk.  Now since this event was in Hollywood and had movie and TV stars, I will give out the famous and coveted ‘Street Preacher’s Awards’ as to who gave us the best response and who gave us the worst response when hearing an exhortation
from the Bible.

So the winner for the ‘Worst Response’ Award, goes to Louis Gossett Jr as he gave us a lame reaction.
The winner for the ‘Lukewarm Award’ is a tie…..between Jerry Matthews (the Beaver) and Loe Ferrigno, as they did respond but it was weak and with no passion.
And the winner for the best “AMEN’ award goes to….drum roll please……the envelope please…..the Grand Marshall himself, Joe Mategna.  Yes, he gave the best positive response to the Word of God being preached.
“Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever”

Most believers will get ‘star struck’ when they see someone who is considered a movie star on the street but we have preached to these people as regular sinners that will meet God and judge them.  Just this past week actor Larry Hagman died at 81.

This Hollywood performer became a TV star in the 1960s sitcom "I Dream of Jeannie." And in 1980, stared in ‘Dallas’ as the oil baron J.R. Ewing where an estimated 300 million viewers in 57 countries saw him as J.R.  It was that sitcom that had that world saying “Who shot J.R.?”
Now, the question should now be asked, where is JR spending eternity?  There is nothing from his childhood to his death that speaks of religion, God or Church.
A year ago, Hagman announced his second bout with cancer. He had spoken candidly about decades of drinking that led to cirrhosis of the liver and, in 1995, a life-saving liver transplant.
The man viewers loved to hate, never hated drinking as by his own admission, Hagman drank his way through “
Dallas.” Champagne was “his poison” as he would uncork a bottle by 9 a.m. and keep the bubbly flowing all day. He once poured bourbon on his cornflakes. “The drinking sometimes made it harder to remember lines, but I liked that constant feeling of being mildly loaded,” Hagman said in 1995 People magazine.

He reaped to his body what he had sown, and diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver during a checkup in 1992, Hagman said he became an instant teetotaler. After developing a cancerous tumor on his liver, he underwent a liver transplant three years later.
In his 2001 autobiography, “Hello Darlin’ he writes; “It confirmed what I've always tried to do live my life as fully as possible before the clock runs out.”  Well that time did run our on Friday at a
Dallas hospital and I do not think God will be impressed with his over more than half a century service to Hollywood with more than 80 TV productions and about 20 films.
Over the 30 years at just at this event the Lord allowed us to preach to many celebrities who have since died.  Larry Hagman has been one, along with Dick Clark, Phyllis Diller, Michael Clarke Duncan, Ernest Borgnine, David Carradine, Leslie Nielsen, Tom Bosley, Rue McClanahan, Gary Coleman, Karl Malden, Dom DeLuise and Cesar Romero.  We have confronted other celebrities who have now met God at further venues, as we are the loud blinking warning light on the dash-board, that appears to be a nuisance, but if ignored.  Only they are to blame.
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”
Isaiah 55:11
To be filed under “All men speak well of you:”
Can anyone be a ‘star’ in Hollywood and can anyone get a ‘star’ on the sidewalk of Hollywood known as the ‘Walk of Fame’ on Hollywood Blvd.  Billy graham did.

WE open air preachers often get criticized for not quoting enough Bible or have scriptures on our banners and when we do, we get disparaged for taking verses out of context or not knowing the original language.
And many will use Isaiah 55:11 against us; “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”
Conclusion, if we do not just quote Bible verses, those words will get null and void and will accomplish nothing , those vain words  have no power.
The question I use to confront this accusation, is simple.  When Jesus spoke on parables would that be considered the Word of God?  I’m sure the legalist or fault finder of His day would have found issue with that.
And 85% of scripture that our Lord did quote, was not verbatim in fact it was two or three verses merged together and can be argued out of context. I’m sure the legalist or fault finder of His day would have found issue with that.
What about the Apostle Paul who on Mars Hill quoted from one of their own poets regarding other gods, as Paul failed to just quote scripture. I’m sure the legalist or fault finder of His day would have found issue with that.
John the Baptist, where is the scripture for putting people into the river and confessing their sins?  He might have been accused if just wanting attention and I’m sure the legalist or fault finder of His day would have found issue with that.
Can a man preach using stories and that be considered inspired that will not return void?  I say to you legalist  and wish to go by the strict adherence of the letter rather than the spirit of the read as you can be in danger of blaspheming the Holy Ghost by calling something Holy, evil.
Be warned, be advised, watch how you judge for heavens sake.
