If I had a nickel, for every time I’ve heard a Street Preacher say; “I thought I was the only one……”
…….that preached against sin
…….that my pastor asked me to stop street preaching
…….that my Church asked me to leave
…….that my family disowned me
…….that I lost my job because of my Christianity
…….that open aired in my city or state
…….that I would be a blemish to the Gospel
…….that I am turning more people off
…….that I am not loving and too judgmental
…….that had issues with police
…….that the biggest critics I get are believers

Elijah the prophet entertained the same thought:
“….the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away…..”
We all know the story, as Elijah was not alone for there were 7,000 faithful in Israel who were not Baal worshippers, but if all you do is judge the world by the cave you’re dwelling in, than your judgment can be skewed from the big picture.

Maybe like Elijah after fleeing what you consider persecution and preaching in your own wilderness or mocking the false prophets of our day, you go to your prayer closet or sit under a juniper tree and ask the Lord “where every one is and why it is just me? Come out, come out wherever you are.” Why is the Church asleep and where are all those multitudes of people that are allegedly getting saved at these big revivals or crusades from these ministries and Churches that have such big powerful names?
“And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write;……I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead…….” -Revelation 3:1
Yet are a no show on the street and if they do show, their message is so watered down they end up strengthening the hand of the wicked as per Jeremiah 23:14.
“I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah”

The next time you think you are alone, consider God;
“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none”
-Ezekiel 22:30

I understand our method of preaching will not be popular with the modern Church, as appearance and compromise is everything to our contemporary believers and often those that do go out and witness on the streets only recite “Jesus loves you” as compared to an inspired message. The days of confronting sin, exposing sin, rebuking sin and offering the remedy are considered old school and not for our generation. This should not be as ‘strange fire’ to us with the many examples found in the Bible where men of God stood alone in their generation.

With the aid of the internet, I have met Street Preachers worldwide and with our website and youtube channels the Lord has inspired others to step out and be bold against the sin of our world. Rebuking sodomy, fornication and abortion to the heathen and hypocrisy, heresy and sin in the camp to the modern day Church

I would like to address a few reasons why I believe many believers will not do what we do.
A) One must understand that not every Hebrew in the Old Testament preached.
B) Some people may witness, pass out tracts or hold a sign, all useful and needed.
C) As the Body of Christ is large with many parts, others can be used elsewhere.
D) Some can be pro-active in street preaching without raising their voice, as in praying for us, supporting us or housing and feeding us when we travel.
E) They do not love their neighbor and expose sin.
F) No one wants to be hated as our Lord said will happen in John 7:7
G) Lastly, I say, most believers SHOULD NOT preach and are not worthy to oppose and confront sin, due to living in sin themselves, with the beam still protruding from their eye as per Matthew 7:5

“Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye”

Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. He lived in a wicked theater and the Bible called him a “preacher of righteousness” which sheds light that Noah not only lived holy but preached to his world. Nothing is mentioned of his sons or daughters saved Noah. Now THERE was a man that preached all alone and NO ONE listened to his holy ranting. NOT ONE person outside his family was saved from the judgment of God and be assured that he was mocked by heathen for over 100 years. God was not quick to destroy his creation as he gave the world a 100 year window to repent, using only Noah as a mouthpiece to put mankind on notice.

The Prophet Isaiah seemed to wonder why he should preach because no one heeded his message as well, as he even asked the Lord
“Who hath believed our report?” -Isaiah 53:1

We know when God moves us to proclaim a message to unwanted or unasked ears that we can not help but go and open our mouth as we find many examples in the Bible. Now whether they hear or not is not our, is not our concern as God sees the big picture and our part is small.

“For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me. –Job 32:18

“My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue” -Psalms 39:3

“Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay” -Jeremiah 20:9

“So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me” -Ezekiel 3:14

“The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy” -Amos 3:8

“For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard” -Acts 4:20

“…..woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” -1Corinthians 9:16

There are many Street Preachers that do not have the funds to travel and preach large events like a Mardi Gras, Super Bowl or even drive into a large city to preach. I know men that live in small rural towns and will preach at the local post office where everyone comes to get mail or stand outside an intersection because that is the heartbeat of the town. Unlike the sidewalks of Manhattan, Los Angeles or Chicago where the population are in the millions and bodies are walking everywhere and always. However these unknown men will preach an eternal sermon outside Wal-Mart or stand atop bridge on Main Street as if their congregation were innumerable

I urge you to watch the link below and if this does not bring a tear to your eye, PLEASE check your pulse. God has Street Preachers everywhere around the world, faithful in their own Jerusalem preaching by themselves on a street corner, in a field, next to a train station or on a dirt road. They are known of no one and rarely supported, yet preach with the same passion as one might preach with an immeasurable crowd. This clip should move you as God is conveying a message to the public marketplace in every environment, in every language with boldness. Enjoy the clip and make sure you click on ‘Full Screen’ for the full effect.

October is my BIRTHDAY

On October 22nd 1979 around 10PM and I was alone in my bedroom and there, I cried out to God with a broken heart. No one led me into a ‘sinner’s prayer’ I was never visited by Jesus, nor did I hear the voice of God that night from a bright light. My conversion was nothing Hollywood, not even a visitation from a heavenly Cherub. I understood that if I wanted to know about God, I needed to Read the Bible and that night I started. It was by scripture that I could understand what God loves and dislikes and just what is required of me. After my prayer, I hungered for the Word of God and studied the Bible with a dictionary nearby. The first thing I did was tell someone what happened, then someone else as I could not keep it to myself and just for good measure I even told my parents.

After reading scripture, I now had questions regarding the Catholic Church, as it was this Church I grew up with as I was schooled there and understood the tradition of the religious organization and from what I now read I had many questions. So I had a meeting with my local priest and it ended with him telling me to “Stop reading the Bible, or I will go crazy.” I was reminded that he was the one educated and went to school not me; my function was to come to mass on Sunday and support the Churches theology. Now before he walked out of the room he said “So I will see you on Sunday right?” as I said “yes.” Well, yes I was there but I was outside on the sidewalk with my Bible raised and preaching out loud on the bottom steps of this Church that raised me. I knew most of the people going inside that morning mass, friends, neighbors, kids from high school and even my mother was inside as I preached on KNOWING THE GOD OF THE BIBLE, all alone.
Well, over 30 years later, my message has not changed.

That was my first preach and back then I never knew much about Biblical preaching, I never knew about Free Speech laws and I had no idea that I would continue preaching for the rest of my life. I regret nothing, I thank God I took advantage of my youth and never bit the drug or alcohol apple, so I have no desire for such. I thank my parents for being a stepping stone to my salvation as Paul told Timothy regarding his upbringing.
“When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also” -2Timothy 1:5
It is my testimony that I have been inspired by the Holy Bible, it taught me to believe in Jesus and understand what God requires as in Ecclesiastes 12:13 and Micah 6:8. In my late teens the Holy Ghost gave me boldness to stand on street with signs and proclaim what little I understood. I not only ask the Lord to use me, but there was fruit of that request. I worked in refineries for years and saved my money to travel

Back then I worked 6 months out of the year then traveled and preached the other 6 months. I saved money, got a passport and started a construction business to set me free and preach, supporting myself. In time God honored ALL THE ABOVE, as I work with my hands, raised my family, pay my bills and travel often to preach the God of the Bible.
Now because on any given Sunday we were out preaching someplace, we have Bible studies at homes on Monday or Wednesday nights as we read verse by verse and every verse is open for discussion and debate.

We preached cities and streets where no one ever seen or heard of a street preacher. We preached on a campus where maybe a preacher at best might get there once a year. We preached big events like Super Bowls for years with only two of us outside the stadium with banners. We preached at homosexual parades since 1980 where we were engulfed with angry sodomites from ACT UP that would physically fight police and think nothing of biting a street preacher. If we were arrested, we would bailed out only to hit the streets again, back then we had no lawyers nor law firms that would assist us, as we always carried bail money with us and each of us had a file with our medical record. Because back in the day, if you preached at a sinful event, chances are you were either going to jail or we were taking you to the hospital.

If I could sum up my time served it would go as followed.
In the eighties our enemies were the atheist communist, as they were open on campus, marched on the streets and in the political world it was Reagan vs. Gorbachev as Christianity was bracing for Armageddon. Israel at that time was going to be 40 years old and oh the prophecies on that were endless. The Marxist agenda was as common in the marketplace as apple pie in America. And as with anything from the past, the names get changed. So the new and improved name for being an atheist communist is a free thinking ‘socialist.’

In the nineties the sodomites were now our new foe. They were getting bolder, wanting more and demanding laws change in their favor. The parades were larger, with regular people joining their fight; Churches welcomed the lifestyle and laws changed by courts and not the ballet box. And as with anything from the past, the names get changed. So the new and improved name for sodomy is gay loving ‘alternative lifestyle’

The turn of the century has given us a new opponent and this one will be around for a long season. It is the Muslim faith. This religion of peace is willing to strike, with the modern day Church trying to find medium ground with this god. It is common to accept every religion but Christianity and many Churches have since goose stepped with this cadence. And as with anything from the past, the names get changed. So the new and improved name for being a Muslim is being ‘tolerant.’

This next decade our newest adversary will be a bit tricky because it is ‘love.’
Oh this one is deadly as in peace and safety, and then comes destruction. The umbrella is, Let us all love each other, let us all get along, let us not be judgmental and let us be accepting and not so negative. Then when you coupled this poison with religion we hear but “God is all loving” – “Jesus is love” and even your atheist will bellow “Jesus preached love.” This phony, emotional disturbing love will bring Mormons, Catholics and Muslims as one big family and will birth names like “haters” for those that do not dance to the piper.

This is Brother Ford, Pastor of our Bible Believers Seattle chapter

He was saved on January 15th 1975 in Portland Oregon through the public ministry of James Webber. Bible Jim discipled him with intensive Bible study, Church attendance, prayer and constant open air ministry. In November of 1984 Brother Ford moved his family to Seattle Washington after the place he worked at for 20 years closed. The HOLY SPIRIT gave him grace to minister the Gospel to his co-workers at the Boeing Company where he worked as a commercial electrician, until his retired in 2006. He was known as crew Chaplin. From 1985 until present, he has ministered The WORD of GOD in the streets of Seattle, on College Campus and different events including Sports, Parades, Street Fairs, Gay Shame events, Concerts of every kind, Political events to name a few. After being faithful for a couple of years and working alone, the LORD had him disciple many men, women, and family's into The BODY of CHRIST and into the street preachers open air style of ministry. His beloved wife was called home to be with The LORD on April 25th 1995, her desire was to continue in the ministry and this was Ford’s desire as well. Nothing compares to a man and a woman joined in ministry and holy marriage serving THE LORD, He does miss his wife and looks forward to joining her in Heaven someday.

Street Preacher Ford is a simple man who was willing and blessed with a good attitude to serve JESUS and he believes with tools and good Bible Study habits anyone can step out in Faith and make a difference for Jesus in this lost world.

This is Brother Glenn from Bible Believers chapter of Idaho
He was one of the three founders of ‘Bible Believers’ in the early 1980’s, which is an organization with the purpose of schooling men to preach the Gospel in public. To date we have over 55 chapters nationwide and more in other countries. He grew up in Southern California and raised a Catholic and even considered becoming a priest but after his conversion opened up a God & Country book store and began his open air ministry. Glenn preached in the greater Los Angeles area for 15 years before moving uprooting to Idaho.

He works full time giving estimates for a large contractor that covers 3 states and is well read on constitutional maters and the history of our nation. Street Preacher Glenn is married with children and enjoys raising his family away from the big city.

This is Street Preacher Lance from our chapter in Seattle

Brother Lance is married with young children, he works as a contractor and makes time to promote the name of Jesus the Christ on the streets of the Pacific Northwest and Canada during weekends or after work. He can hold both banner and sandwich sign and is always ready to answer questions when someone is preaching. He joined the group in Seattle after seeing them preach in public and knew this is where the Lord wanted him.

This is Brother Al from our Ft. Worth Bible Believers

Brother Al has been faithful preaching across America and Russia, as he now is active with serving the homeless and starting a local Church in Ft Worth Texas that disciple holiness. Al is a painting contractor, married with children and still makes time to promote the God of the Bible.

What a testimony he has, as he is evidence of serving a living God. Al had potential as a boxer to fight in the Olympics but wasted it on drugs and booze. His life was going down and his marriage on the rocks as he was on a collision course with prison or death. Got saved with swift results and started to testify to others. He when to Mardi Gras to pass out tracts for years and one year saw the wisdom in open air preaching with banners and God modified his Christianity.

This is Brother Grant, from our Portland Oregon Bible Believers

Started his preaching debut as a teenager as open air preaching was not new to him. This once rapper grew up with a Street Preacher father known as ‘Preacher Ray’ who preached in the 1960’s with Holy Hubert at Berkeley. And Ray has joined us preaching at events or on a campus and still has the FIRE to preach that precious Name.

Brother Grant owns a small business, active in his local Church and preaches in Portland and few out of state cities and has even supported other preachers. He is the only guy I know that can gather a crowd in seconds and cause crowd reaction in under a minute.

This is Brother Kevin, from our chapter in San Francisco

Owner of a roofing company and has been faithful in the bay area for over two decades. He has made hundreds of banners and thousands of Christian T-shirts and every hour somewhere on this planet his banners and shirts are being used to promote Jesus Christ to a dying world. The Lord had him find a wife while ministering the Gospel in Russian and together they both edify saints and advance the kingdom of God. He keeps his ‘Cry To God’ youtube channel active with preaching clips and his website can inspire those with eyes to see.

Now after all doing what he does, he still makes time to preach from his life to preach Jesus in the greater SIN FAGcisco area and nationwide on his own dime.

This is Street Preacher Jeremiah

He is known as one of our ‘Gypsy chapters’ as he travels across the nation living in an RV preaching on campus Monday–Friday and events on the weekend. He travels from Florida to the West Coast annually, as his public preaching dates back to the 1960’s. He preached campuses before many campus preachers today were born and during that time preached to the hippies and their anti-Viet Nam war love fests and communist rallies. Jeremiah was used by the Lord to assemble the first banner in the sixties, and that sign fruit have mushroomed worldwide. Now back in the day those banners were 6 foot by 5 foot canvas, each hand painted and were hoisted with metal pipes and bungee cords. This retried police officer and ex-State prison guard was once the World Champion of Arm Wrestling as seen on ‘Wide World of Sports’ wearing a bold Christian T-Shirt and giving glory to Jesus.

Here is Jeremiah with Street Preacher Frank preaching at a peace rally in Washington DC. As these anti-war socialist had to do a double take with their banners

This is Street Preacher Joel from our Los Angeles chapter

In this picture Brother Joel is preaching on Hollywood Boulevard as God uses him to convey a message in Spanish, a much needed language in Southern California. He is married with a young family and works as a delivery driver as he has been faithful preaching in downtown Los Angeles and Mc Arthur Park. Joel will normally work the video camera at big events to log the event and film any police interaction. You will always find Joel wearing a Christian T-Shirt and driving a car that is Christianized with Bible verses as per Proverbs 3:6
