Mark and I drove from Los Angeles Friday afternoon and by 3AM we were in Salt Lake City for the big weekend, as Saturday and Sunday Salt Lake hosted the LDS General Conference. This meeting is held twice a year, on the first weekend in April and the first weekend in October, which consists of five sessions, three on Saturday and two on Sunday. Where thousands of Mormon’s come worldwide to hear from their prophet and apostles or watch the broadcast worldwide via satellite, radio and Internet. This could be likened to a Muslim going to Mecca, a football fanatic going to the Super Bowl, a politician going inside the White House and a sodomite living in San Francisco. In the LDS world this was a big thing. Mormons are known as ‘door knockers’ so this past weekend we came to their door step.

First off let me say, this ‘later day saint’ church might just be a good old church to live by. I mean let’s face it they are pro family, very patriotic and they do good works, however it WILL BE A BAD CHURCH TO DIE BY. If anyone knows anything of Mormon theology, it is as if Stephen King and the movie ‘Avatar’ clashed together and made this religion.
Don’t believe me click the link below:

Over the years I have tried to awaken these Mormon’s drunken in their works and walking in their stupor. I’ve waved their hallowed underwear in their face, dragged their book of Mormon on the ground while preaching and this year I’ve carried about six bloody kotex pads tied together in front of their temple while I preached on Isaiah chapter 64.

“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags”

Well hath Isaiah the Prophet/Street Preacher spoken regarding works worthy of a Holy God and with a visual aid for this verse it was engraved in their minds to see a bundle of bloody rags hanging at eye level. Yes, they were grossed out, yes they were upset and thought this was very disgusting just as their works before God are repulsive and revolting. POINT AND GAME POINT!

Anyone who spends time witnessing to Mormons will know how arrogant these people are and prideful of their works in getting them a god status to rule their own planet. "As man is, God once was; as God is, man may become” said by LDS prophet Lorenzo Snow. This was also confirmed by their Apostle Bruce McConkie, "Thus those who gain eternal life receive exaltation ... They are gods." (Mormon Doctrine, pg. 237).

I do not spend my whole life running after Mormon’s but if you want to preach a message to the LDS Church one will get more bang for the buck at their General Conference meetings and if you do go expect to be called a hater or an ex-Mormon.

Mark gave his testimony of how he sold drugs in Idaho to Mormon’s and how he knew these same Mormon’s that took drugs wore a white shirt and tie on Sunday. He exhorted them as hypocrites and phonies; he admonished the young women for looking like whores. A word we were warned by police to be ‘fighting words’ as more than several people complained. A few older Mormons however did agree with that preaching as it was obvious that these young women were ready to walk the catwalk or the streets. One Mormon defended our right to use the word ‘whore’ to the police because their own prophet used it while speaking to his congregation, so the police seemed to back down if it were used in a general sense and not a particular person.

I preached and challenged all that the Bible teaches us to “contend for the faith” and that we as Street Preachers do publicly. Then I reminded the LDS in their writings this is also taught as per the Doctrine and Covenants 71 which says:
“…..Wherefore, confound your enemies; call upon them to meet you both in public and in private; and inasmuch as ye are faithful their shame shall be made manifest. Wherefore, let them bring forth their strong reasons against the Lord. Verily, thus saith the Lord unto you—there is no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; And if any man lift his voice against you he shall be confounded in mine own due time. Wherefore, keep my commandments; they are true and faithful. Even so. Amen.”
Yes, the Mormons are commanded to confound any man that lifts the voice against them and they failed. We were not confounded, we were not confronted, we were not shamed and the only thing they manifested was their tail between their legs as we stood on the sidewalk.

The Mormon god is many, as the Mormon god of this earth has gods and those gods have gods and those gods have gods and on and on it goes. Isaiah the Prophet/Street Preacher expounded on that very topic in his theater he preached.

“I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me”
“I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me”
There is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else”

And regarding the Christ the Anti-Mormon Isaiah testified:
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace”

Me thinketh, Isaiah would not be welcomed as a speaker at the Mormon General Conference, inside or outside. He promoted ONE GOD only and that statement of FILTHY RAGS, then this child born unto us with a name THE MIGHTY GOD he would be considered a heretic to this religious Moose Lodge.

To be filed under the ODD COUPLE:
Preaching at this event over the years you will get to know people, such as police, temple security, reporters, people from the city attorney’s office and Mormons who yearly attend. There is a man out there that has been standing with me against this church for years, he will allow us to park at his office, drive us to the temple and pick us up so we don’t have to park and walk. He brings us cold drinks in the hot weather and coffee when it’s cold or snowy, and if it rains during conference he has even held an umbrella over my head while I preach. Then after the day he will buy dinner.
This man is a doctor, a person that has written over 60 books……and……did I mention……he is a high priest of the Mormon church in Salt Lake? Yes, John is an active LDS member. He believes his church to be lukewarm and is beyond shocked to hear what his church believes when they respond to us on the sidewalk. He has stood by and heard how they answer questions regarding the Bible and how little they understand about LDS doctrine. He has watched in awe as 9 out of 10 Mormon missionaries can not even recite the Ten Commandments in order.
Dr. John will jump into our public debate on the sidewalk when discussing LDS writings to reprove his church for knowing nothing of their inspired books. He will join me as I use their doctrine to argue as to what they believe. As he will defend against blacks in the temple today, he will defend that polygamy should still be active and the undergarments have been cut for convenience. The temple ceremonies have been modified from 7 hours to now one hour and a half. He confirms my argument that iF these regulations are to be accurate and truly inspired then why all the modifications?
Those Mormon regulations were not divinely influenced but government and culture that guided the church, as John agrees that the Mormon god is schizophrenic and bipolar with the changing of the theology. What one prophet said back in the day, another prophet says different today. It is unique to have someone like John in the bullpen when debating with a Mormon on their turf and it is almost funny to see the faces when John jumps in defending my position being an active member of the LDS himself. This is a part of a documentary filmed in Salt Lake City that has an interview with John

This is Street Preacher Dean from our Bible Believers chapter in Arizona. He is over 70 years old and has been involved in street preaching for about eight years. He is a retired school teacher with Christian children and grandchildren that serve the Lord. He was raised with Christian parents in the fear of the Lord, went to a Christian university and does not have the baggage of sin in his life that many have. But still needs the same savior. Dean is a married man, lives on a farm, is faithful in preaching the Gospel in his hometown, he travels with me often all over the USA, paying his own way, active in his local Church and has a voice needed to preach in public

Loud and clear.
He has a God given set of lungs like a built in mega-phone. He is as healthy as a work mule to run with younger men that can preach up to 12-16 hours a day and in all my years of knowing this man I’ve never heard him complain about preaching in the heat, cold or rain. He can preach, hold a banner, pass out tracts and contend for the faith.
Now in later years of his life Dean is serving the Lord on the streets of America, trying to spread the Gospel that Jesus Christ is our only Savior and only hope of forgiveness of sins, the only One through whom we can know God, and the only way we can obtain salvation and rescue from God's final judgment. I am honored to plow the field with this man.

This short documentary filmed in Salt Lake ‘Religion vs. Religion’ in 4 parts:
Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Utah interested in Supreme Court rulings on First Amendment issues:
Will a Utah law prohibiting protests at military funerals be strengthened or nullified based on the Snyder v. Phelps case before the Supreme Court? How would "time, place and manner" restrictions on protesters affect scenarios common to Utah, like those at LDS Church general conference sessions?.....”

Anti-Mormon Street Preachers and Protesters Oppose the LDS Church:
“Anti-LDS street protesters spread anti-Mormon message at LDS Church conferences and temples. Why do Christian street preachers show hatred towards Mormons?”

Why We Should Love the Street Preachers:
Another General Conference has come and gone. With it, came more disruptions from the bands of "Street Preachers" who regularly show up with their signs and slogans to berate and belittle believing Latter-day Saints…..”

Anti Mormon Bigotry:
(click the video)

Anti-Mormon protesters at the October 2010 LDS General Conference:
“…The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has attracted critics from its earliest days. These pictures provide a small glimpse at the efforts of some critics of the Church….”

“Sometimes hilarious though--one guy held a boquet of wires taped to soiled sanitary napkins and tampons (with red dye, not actual blood) and as the gentleman friend and I walked by he yelled, "DO YOU FIND THIS OFFENSIVE? GOD FINDS YOU OFFENSIVE!"

A field guide to conference protesters:
“Capistrano has the yearly return of its famous swallows. In Salt Lake City, the migration is the twice-yearly return of general conference visitors — and protesters. After waiting for six months, there is nothing more satisfying than heading over to the Conference Center for some serious protester watching…..”

Street Preachers Against Mormonism:
“The Official Street Preacher Website has an entire page detailing what is wrong about Mormonism, mentioning (among others):

Faith, fury mix at Mormon temple:
But Pursifull and his fellow street preachers have ratcheted up the vitriol in the past few years, creating a toxic mix of faith and fury on the sidewalks outside the temple each Easter…..”

Preachers spark few fireworks:
“Street preacher Ruben Israel, left, talks with Jon Rock and Gary Nelson Saturday outside the Conference Center as street preacher Travis Bird holds up a sign in back”

Sunday protests are fairly subdued:
“….A relatively quiet protest targeted The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during LDS General Conference on Sunday as officers made sure that street preachers and journalists kept moving when they were in the protest zone on sidewalks along North Temple, between Temple Square and the Conference Center…..”

Street preachers obey new laws, present many new voices:
“……This year, street preacher Ruben Israel brought a pair of the sacred garments and had them strung between two signs as he yelled his beliefs toward passersby. "You've denied the blood of Jesus Christ! You've denied the Bible!" Israel yelled. "Shame on you! You drank the Kool-Aid here in Salt Lake City!"…..”

Conference clashes result in 2 arrests:
"Two men were arrested Sunday afternoon after they clashed with street preachers near the LDS Conference Center as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints marked its 173rd Semiannual General Conference.
In the first incident, around noon, a man allegedly assaulted a street preacher who was wearing a piece of sacred LDS clothing around his neck. Wearing that clothing in such a way would be considered highly offensive by faithful LDS Church members....."

Mormon Apocalypse excerpt:
“A scene from my documentary on the fundamentalist street preachers at LDS Conference”

Street preachers a bit more subdued:
Street preachers and protesters have become staples at the April and October conferences held by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There have been a few arrests and clashes in the past, but this year things seemed quieter…..”

Anti-Mormon protesters at the October 2003 LDS General Conference:
Under each picture you will find some comments by the photographer, as well as some links that provide additional information that explain the sensationalistic claims of the protesters…..”

Mormon Truth:
“Anti Mormon/Pro Christian protesters…..”

Anti-Mormon protesters:
Under each picture you will find some comments by the photographer, as well as some links that provide additional information that explain the sensationalistic claims of the protesters. Unfortunately these are still pictures, so they don't convey the yelling and screaming being done by many of the protesters….”

Singers To Counter Conference Protesters:
“Every six months the LDS church holds General Conference. And every six months street preachers demonstrate outside the meetings, but this year those yelling from the sidewalks will have some competition……”

Protesters voice views without major incidents:
“…The group held up large signs with messages such as "Not by the works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, (Jesus Christ) saved us."……”

Street Abusers Mesa:
“As soon as the music ended, the screaming began. The band of street abusers (they call themselves preachers, but that has a particular biblical meaning that is utterly disconnected from their disjointed harangues) with their barely relevant signs held high began yelling out at those gathered on the front lawn of the LDS Temple….”

Street preacher on mission in Salt Lake:
“Disliked by many and enjoyed by few, in-your-face, megaphone-wielding street preacher Lonnie Pursifull is not hindered by such reactions in his call to spread — and define — the gospel on the streets of Salt Lake City and beyond…..”

Street Preachers could Face Harsher Penalties:
“…..The Associated Press reported that Aagard told Utah lawmakers, "the law would help establish standards for street preachers outside [the Mormon] Temple Square."……”

The truth about anti-mormons:
“…….Many Mormons travel from distant lands to Salt Lake on a sort of spiritual pilgrimage, excited to listen to sermons by Church leaders. This pilgrimage is often interrupted by the screams of "street preachers" informing Mormon participants that they are going to go to hell…..”

Report: Mormon Church; Mesa Police:
“Meet Mr. Larry Craft. Mr. Craft is one of those Bible thumping “street preachers.” You know, “hellfire and brimstone.” He's an itinerant evangelist, who goes around the country preaching the Bible to all the unsaved. (Not just Mormons.) You may not like his message, but he loves you enough to warn you……”

New Rule On Purchasing LDS Garments:
“…Yesterday the church's first presidency announced new requirements for buying temple garments. At last October's General Conference, church member Jose Basilio was criminally charged after getting into a confrontation with a street preacher who was waving garments sacred to Mormons…..”
